DIY Boutonniere

What You’ll Need: Find the materials you’ll need at Afloral.com. Select smaller flower heads, sprigs of foliage and any berries or succulents you would like to use.

Step 1: Cut the stems to about 5cm or 2" long.

Step 2: Wire and tape each stem. To do this, hold the flower between your thumb and index finger positioning a wire behind the stem.
Wrap a piece of floral tape around the top of the wire and flower stem. Turn  the stem  while stretching and pulling the tape down the wire.

Step 3:
Start with your focal flower head and add each wired flower or foliage stem to build the boutonniere. All flower heads should be facing the same way.

Step 4: Wrap the floral tape around all of the stems to secure them together.

Step 5: Using twine, hold one end of the twine behind the flower heads at the back of the boutonniere. Start at the bottom of the stem and wrap the twine around until you reach the top of the stem. Using both ends of twine tie a knot at the back of the boutonniere to secure.
