Are you taking your destination wedding to the beach of a tropical island? Don't forget your silk flower crown! Silk flowers are the perfect option for tropical destination weddings as they do not wilt in the heat and will hold up their beauty as you travel far and wide to your dream wedding!
Fit a section of the bark covered wire to the size of your head. Trim the bark wire with your wire cutters, then simply twist the loose ends together.
(Note: Since the bark covered wire is wired, it should twist together and stay. For extra hold, simply use floral tape over the section that you have connected)
With your wire cutters, begin trimming your greenery leaves into individual stems. We used the leaves of an
Faux Croton Plant.
Step 3: Using your floral tape, attach your trimmed greenery leaves onto your bark wire. Evenly disperse the leaves around your crown, facing in opposite directions to create a wild flower look.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for adding on all of your chosen greenery.

Step 4: Using the same technique as you did to attach your greenery, you will begin to add your tropical silk flowers! Leave yourself about 1-1.5" of stem to easily be able to tape on your flowers.
We chose yellow real touch cymbidium orchids, two tone purple silk dendrobium orchids, and green burgundy artificial hellebore flowers.

Continue adding your silk flowers until your crown is as full as you would like it to be, or until all of the exposed floral tape is covered.
Step 5: To give your crown some texture, add in some accent succulents! We chose to use a faux sedum succulent spray in violet.
Simply trim small pieces from the main stem and add to your crown in any sparse sections or spots that need a splash of color!
