The Faux Bouquets has brought us a fun and fresh DIY wreath. Follow along and you can make your own giant wreath with a hula hoop and Afloral.com artificial flowers.
Materials: Your favorite silk flower stems and artificial greenery, a hula hoop, ribbon, wire cutters, floral wire, floral tape or zip ties.
Tip - If you do not like the pattern/color on your hoop you can spray paint it any color you'd like.
Step 1: Gather together a bundle of flowers, leaves and berries. Include a variety of colors and textures. Secure the bundles together with floral tape, wire or zip ties. Create four to five bundles, depending on the size of the flowers and hoop.
Step 2: Attach the bundles to the hula hoop by wrapping floral wire around the stems and hoop.
Tip - Lay out the bundles on the hula hoop before you attach with wire to create a look you like.
Step 3: Continue adding bundles to the hula hoop. Overlap the bundles to hide the wire, work in both directions. When all the bundles are secure, cut off excess stems with wire cutters
Step 4: Tie a ribbon to the top of the hula hoop to hang your design.
You now have a stylish and trendy wreath. Hang it on a wall as a grand backdrop or from a tree branch for a boho feel.
This giant wreath will look great anywhere and with artificial flowers you can reuse this look over and over again at all of life's events.
