Decorate your home with your own handmade silk flower wreath. Follow along as Oh Everything Handmade transforms your front door with this simple wreath tutorial.
Gather together your materials. For this wreath, Oh Everything Handmade used a grapevine wreath, an artificial blossom bush, peony, cabbage rose spray, 3 anemones, 2 boxwood sprays, and a lily spray. You will also need ribbon, twine, and wire cutters.
Step 1: Separate your blossom bush with wire cutters. Bend the wire flower stems into a semi-circle.
Step 2: Secure the stems to the wreath by wrapping with twine.
Step 3: Add the boxwood sprays to the bottom of the wreath, mirroring each other. Tuck the end of each stem into the grapevine wreath. You can further secure them to the wreath using twine, or even hot glue.
Step 4: Trim the Anemones, leave them at about 5-6inches and lay them across each other right over your boxwood leaves. Secure the Anemones by tying them onto the wreath with the twine.
Step 5: Trim the rest of the flowers down to 4-6inches, and secure them the exact way as in Step 4.
Step 6: Add a bow and hang on your front door!
That's it! With silk flowers from Afloral.com you can hang this wreath on your door all year or store away and bring it out every spring. It will always be in bloom! For more details on how this wreath was made visit Oh Everything Handmade.
