Make your own hula hoop wreath with artificial tropical greenery and florals from Afloral.com.
Materials: Hula Hoop, Floral Tape, Artificial Tropical Leaves and Flowers, Ribbon
Step 1: Start by wrapping the hula hoop completely with green floral tape. This step is optional, depending on the color of your hula hoop. We choose to wrap it so that the wreath base stayed hidden.
Step 2: Gently bend the wire stem of the artificial leaves so that they are slightly curved, like the shape of the hula hoop.
Step 3: Tape the first leaf to the hula hoop, roughly six inches from the base of the leaf so you will be able to bend the leaf.
Step 4: Continue taping the tropical leaves to the hula hoop, using the leaf to cover the stems of the leaves below it. Mix the style and color of the stems as you work to create interest and depth.
Step 5: When you are ready to place the last leaf, tuck the remaining stem under the other leaves and secure by taping the stems tightly to the hoop.
Step 6: Tie a decorative ribbon to your wreath.
Hang your tropical wreath behind a sweetheart table, from a tree limb or on the wall in your home. These tropical leaves will bring summer greenery to any venue.
